Senior Mechanical Equipment Engineer

For one of our clients in the floating production industry, we are looking for a senior mechanical equipment engineer.

Our client is a leader in Floating Production Storage & Offloading systems, exploring new frontiers like floating wind and carbon-cutting tech with expert capabilities and a unique, full-lifecycle value proposition.

Purpose

  • The Senior Engineer's purpose is to design and engineer solutions that achieve high standards of safety, reliability, and sustainability, thereby contributing to the projects and organization's strategic objectives and long-term success.

Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the selection of methods and procedures, performance of the work, and optimization of the design within the scope of the specifications, in compliance with international codes, company and industry standards and regulations.
  • You are responsible for proactively planning and completing activities and deliverables within agreed time frame and budget, as well as for ensuring system interfaces.
  • You ensure that your Scope of Work is delivered in accordance with both the contractual requirements.
  • You ensure applicable lessons learnt are used, understanding the change impact within and across project system boundaries.
  • You coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and third parties, in accordance with contractual requirements and internal requirements.
  • You may be assigned as a Package Engineer with technical responsibility for the design, procurement and manufacture of the Package.
  • You start leading engineers on assigned scope of work
  • You may act as Discipline Lead for an assigned scope of work.

Education

  • Engineer Diploma in relevant discipline

Experience

  • 5 to 10 years in Oil & Gas Industry

Requirements

  • Significant EPC experience is required
  • Minimum 8 years of mechanical engineering background.
  • Hands on responsibilities – This is not a lead role
  • Ideally, we are looking for candidates with rotating and/or marine equipment experience. If someone has predominantly static experience, they will not be a fit.
