For one of our clients in the oil&gas industry we are looking for a Radio Operator / Medic

Our client is established in 11 countries worldwide and is active in the energy and water sectors. In the Netherlands, they operate as a producer of natural gas and are co-owner and operator of two gas storage facilities.

What will you do
As a (para) medic responsible for 1st line health care to ill and injured personnel on board during routine and emergency situations. As a radio operator responsible for the daily radio / switchboard communications and helicopter flight watch. As a clerk he will carry out administrative work of both routine and non-routine nature.

Responsibilities

  • Provides 1st line health care to ill and injured personnel, when necessary in consultation with onshore physician and maintains all obligatory daily, R.M.A. and opiates registers. 
  • Maintains required Nogepa medical equipment and medicines stock on offshore assets. 
  • Performs safety induction to new arrivals and pre-flight safety briefing for departures. 
  • Informs about houserules, safety procedures and shows the induction film. 
  • Assigns arrivals with muster station and lifeboats, cabins, bunks and lockers. 
  • Maintains the bedplan and informs (catering) crew accordingly. 
  • Maintains Persons On Board (POB) musterlist in stand-alone POB datasystem and in the online Vantage POB system and communicates to the appropriate parties. 
  • Maintains Roster and Heliplanning regular crew in close cooperation with Taqa's planner / scheduler at Noorderpoort. 
  • Keeps radiowatch during day time hours on VHF channels 08/16/70 DSC, UHF freq. 170.410 (private ch.) and airband frequenties 121.5 and 122.95.
  • Maintains required communication equipment. 
  • Monitors (A.I.S.) all (supply) vessel movements around the P-15 and P-18 assets and maintains VHF communications as appropriate. 
  • Prepares backload cargo manifests according IMO's I.M.D.G. rules and regulations. 
  • Monitors all helicopter movements in the Rijn HPZ and communicates according procedure. 
  • Monitors all movement of passengers, including personnel (safety training) details and (helicopter) freight. Provides helicopter base and crew with payload and weather details. 
  • Prepares manifests accordingly. Informs helidek crew and passengers with all relevant travel details. 
  • Maintains Emergency Team Assignment list. 
  • Assists OIM in radio room during emergency situations maintaining communications with coastguard, emergency teams and other parties as appropriate. 
  • Prepares (weekly) safety drill reports. 
  • Performs the bi-weekly safety meeting as chairman and generates the minutes of meeting. 
  • Prepares monthly exposure hours / training hours / POB reporting for HSSE dept. 
  • Prepares Purchase Order requests and updates workorder feedback in Maximo. 
  • Maintains the Stationary Stock. 
  • Maintains the Offshore OOG/GO database and Synergi database. 
  • Coordinates yearly emergency preparedness scenario refreshers for regular crew and maintains the personnel training database and function matrix. 
  • Prepares timesheets for the catering crew according ATB guidelines. 
  • Handles heliminutes reporting logbooks and prepares monthly reports on helicosts for accounting. 
  • Performs hygiene checks and monitors food storage and food preparation. 
  • Monitors quality of potable water. Performs adequate Legionairs Disease control measures according protocol. Performs quarterly potable water sampling.

We’re happy to hear from professionals with a Verpleegkundige-A (or equated according Nogepa / back-up physician) education and MARCOM-A and at least 5 years offshore experience on platforms. In this role you'll require both Dutch and English language skills.

  • Nogepa 2.11 Offshore medic. 
  • KLM (LV.NL) flightwatch training. 
  • IMO I.M.D.G. training. 
  • Microsoft Office / Vantage / Maximo.
  • Living in the Netherlands
