For one of our clients in the Offshore Oil and Gas industry we are looking for a Rotating Equipment Engineer.
We are looking for a Rotating Engineer in a Medior or Senior position, with a focus on instrumentation and controls related to gas turbines, centrifugal process gas compressors and their auxiliaries. Gas Turbine know how is a must have, Centrifugal Compressor know how is a preference.
In this role there will be approx. 8 visits per year to the offshore platforms and regularly scheduled site visits.
There are 4 semi unmanned treatment centers located offshore in the North Sea with Turbo machines including Gas compression and Power Generation Installed machinery:
Gas Compression
- Siemens SGT-200 / Tornado Gas Turbines driving a Siemens (Demag Delaval) centrifugal compressor (qty = 5)
- Siemens SGT-100 / Typhoon Gas Turbine driving a BHGE (Thermodyn) centrifugal compressor (qty = 1)
- Solar Turbines Centaur 40 driving a Siemens (Demag Delaval) centrifugal compressor (qty = 1)
Power Generation
- Solar Turbines Saturn 20 driving an alternator (qty = 7)
Activity:
Jobholder performs all activities, considering the highest level of Safety and Health, protecting the Environment and reporting any HSE anomalies.
- Supports the Operations Department for (heavy) rotating equipment requiring service preparedness.
- Daily monitoring of the figures and behavior of the Turbo machines to ensure Power Generation and Gas Compression.
- Prepares the maintenance work orders, based on OEM and TOTAL group directives.
- Based on maintenance strategies and running hours, organizes major overhauls and service exchanges of rotating equipment.
- Ensures the execution and co-ordination of trouble shooting on trade related equipment in case of failures and breakdowns, the execution of the root cause analysis on failures and breakdowns, including the subsequent recommendations.
- Reports and maintains a high standard on availability and reliabilities figures in line with HQ and TEPNL objectives.
- Supports and executes specialist activities offshore including inspections, service exchange, equipment repair and troubleshooting.
- Reviews, evaluates and initiates action based on inspection reports such as borescopic inspections, vibration analyses and condition monitoring like lube oil analyses and RAID review.
- Improves and innovates Compression and Power Generation regarding optimization of its operations.
- Unplanned stops or breakdowns on gas compression system do cause immediate production losses including high potential of imposed penalties in case contractual deliveries cannot be met. The majority of the gas produced is through compression. In case of escalation of any unplanned stops on compression systems, jobholder is the primary focus point to and between Operations Department, Maintenance Support Department and the OEM.
- Planned activities may be disrupted by ad hoc operational problems.
- The forecasted availability of production capacity (through compression) of the installation do require swift and accurate action on problems, failures or breakdowns, and the flexibility to adapt plans.
We are looking for a hands-on, pragmatic person, who can work with the equipment, who has detailed knowledge of the equipment involved and is able to solve issues on the spot to have the machine back in service again.
