Rotating Engineer

Accountability

As Rotating Engineer you:

  • Are responsible for the coordination of all rotating aspects during the full project lifecycle;
  • Ensure adherence with current and future rules, standards and regulations;
  • Act as owner for the clients' specifications regarding your discipline;
  • Design, engineer and define rotating design or modifications for the operated assets;
  • Act as rotating support for the production department;          
  • Define scopes for engineering contractors;
  • Compile RFQ packages for rotating related items;
  • Participate in technical evaluation of tenders with respect to your discipline;
  • Monitor and challenge the rotating related engineering activities performed by an engineering contractor;
  • Check the engineering documents developed by the Contractor, and timely give comments and/or approval;
  • Attend and prepare scope for FAT, SAT or commissioning when required;
  • Work as part of the integrated team to ensure the philosophy is aligned through all disciplines;
  • Teamwork with other disciplines for transverse documents and reviews (PIDs, datasheets, interfaces, studies, etc.);
  • Answer contractors/vendors queries;
  • Evaluate, Analyse, action and report regarding rotating systems in the role or delegate of the mechanical responsible engineer;
  • Implement latest oil and gas technologies, techniques, applicable rules, standards and regulations;
  • Promote innovative solutions.

Qualifications

For this position you need to have:

  • Minimum 5-10 years experience in his domain (field and desk) and related Engineering activities;
  • Experience with turbomachinery equipment applied in the oil and gas industry such as Compressors, turbines, pumps (all types);
  • Chartered Engineer or similar education level;
  • Experience with Brownfield and Greenfield;
  • Preferably relevant offshore certificates;
  • Fluent in English & preferably Dutch (verbally and in writing).
