For one of our clients in the oil&gas industry we are looking for a Project Scheduler
Our client is established in 11 countries worldwide and is active in the energy and water sectors. In the Netherlands, they operate as a producer of natural gas and are co-owner and operator of two gas storage facilities.
What will you do
The Projects Scheduler is responsible for scheduling projects. These projects include the annual projects executed by the Engineering & Projects Team, but also business projects that are managed outside that team. These include the projects of other departments, including Commercial, Subsurface and Drilling & Wells.
The role holder maintains an overview of all Engineering & Projects related activities and tracks the gates of the projects process. They continuously optimise the schedule, aiming for cost efficient deployment of resources and integration into the NL Field Activity Planning.
The role holder will also maintain the overall engineering resource planning and will flag delays and overall workload of the department to the Engineering Manager and Project Portfolio Manager to ensure adequate resources.
The role holder ensures all project plans include the activities to comply with relevant agreements, procedures and standards in the organization, including HSSE requirements.
The role reports to the Projects Portfolio Manager and works closely with the Onshore and Offshore Planning departments to integrate execution of field work in the year plan, 84 days plan and 28 days plan.
The main work location will be in Amsterdam area.
Responsibilities
- Engineering and Projects activity gathering; Proactively gather and screen data and information on all Engineering & Projects related activities, in liaison with the Projects Portfolio Manager, project- and discipline engineers so that all required information is available to draw up the integrated activity planning. Where there are projects being managed outside the Engineering & Projects team, include these in the activity gathering process.
- Broader business development activity gathering; Collate a list of broader business projects, including business development opportunities, so that upcoming projects are visible on the long-term integrated activity plan.
- Integrated Activity Plan; Apply current process flow and planning framework to create the integrated activity plan in Primavera P6, in line with timelines and available internal and external resources.
- Establish priorities for the activities in cooperation with the departments involved, establishing a feasible plan for all stakeholders.
- Resource plan; An overall plan of the full Engineering & Projects department with all jobs cross-referenced to the integrated activity plan. This plan shows workload per person, department, or project depending on the selected view, together with operational/ maintenance support on all assets.
- Plan Optimization; Attend planning meetings, identify possible improvements to streamline and optimise current planning, and coordinate the implementation of these improvements in the Engineering & Projects activities.
- Continuous Improvement; Keep abreast of developments in own discipline and evaluate the use of current and emerging techniques and methods. Initiate and identify opportunities for improvement and implement it, in order to improve the integrated activity planning process, according to the company specification, quality standards and best practices.
- Administration; Ensure the administration of the integrated activity plan, process and other relevant information, in line with operating procedures and CMMS system (Maximo), to ensure the availability of accurate information for relevant parties and to comply with relevant legislation and HSSE standards.
- Planning Support; Advisory role in overall lntegrated Activity Planning. Support the stakeholders on request in the (detailed) work planning activities, in order to improve the planning process and outcomes. Occasional planning support to the Subsurface and Drilling & Wells teams.
We’re happy to hear from professionals with preferable a bachelor's degree in planning & logistics and certified for Primavera P6 with a minimum of 7 years of engineering planning process experience in the Energy sector. In this role you'll require both Dutch and English language skills.
