Process Safety Engineer

Purpose

  • The Process Safety Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and coordinating process safety programs to ensure the safety and integrity of operations.
  • You analyze process hazards, evaluating safety systems, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. You play a crucial role in preventing accidents, minimizing risks, and promoting a strong safety culture within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • You support the Operations or projects in the implementation of Offshore’s Hazards and Effects Management Process and Operational Risk Management.
  • You provide guidance on best practices for lifecycle hazard management, including methodologies for Bowtie, PHA, HAZOP, HAZID, Inherently Safer Design, and barrier-based risk management.
  • You facilitate risk assessments and manage action tracking for assessments within the Process Safety Scope.
  • You support Safety and Environmentally Critical Element audits and assurance by technical teams from the group and/or operations.
  • You support audits and inspections conducted by regulatory agencies, verifiers, or clients.

Education

  • Bachelors degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, or similar.

Experience

  • Over 5 years experience in process safety, technical safety, or other technical risk discipline (such as SLP Engineer).
