For one of our clients in de Offshore Energy Industry we are looking for a Package Manager/Senior Expeditor.

Our client is a multidisciplinary engineering firm with global projects in the Oil & Gas and Renewable industries with a large number of projects in its portfolio for the coming years. They design offshore wind and hydrogen platforms, floating platforms, oil and gas platforms, floating solar farms, tooling and deck equipment, and structures such as electricity pylons. They also provide solutions for platform decommissioning and modification. 
 
Responsibilities:

The Package Manager/Senior Expeditor is the front-line of the Supply Chain activities within the project and is responsible for delivering the package to meet project requirements in terms of safety, budget, schedule and quality. You perform the role of a “project manager” for the package.
You ensure that the package is executed in line with the Project Procurement Strategy and efficiently manages all tactical aspects of the package from RFQ, PO and post order management until final delivery close-out. You actively contribute to the lessons learned process to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Supply Chain.

  • Act as the primary focal point for the supplier and subcontractor on all matters related to the Package;
  • Review manufacturing schedules, documentation schedules and quality control plans to Identify milestones and a critical path
  • Understand the technical requirements of the package;
  • Ensure that the tactical management of the procurement process is conducted appropriately and in full compliance with Company working procedures;
  • Set-up the package by collecting lessons learned, multi-disciplinary input and defining package gates and planning accordingly;
  • Participate in the RFQ preparation, bid- and supplier qualification;
  • Define the negotiation strategy with the Buyer and Project Team;
  • You will manage the execution of the PO technically and commercially and you make sure the PO execution is in line with the project schedule;
  • Closely monitor sub orders, review and challenge purchase orders to ensure compliance with the overall schedule;
  • Ensure the supplier and subcontractor documents are received , reviewed and approved on time;
  • Adjust standard Quality Control Plan to meet project requirements
  • Manage the package interface with the supplier during PO execution
  • Ensure that supplier and subcontractor activities are managed in line with project priorities
  • Ensure supplier and subcontractor documents are received, reviewed and approved on time
  • Report package progress to the Project Procurement Manager as required during the entire life of the project
  • Be accountable for the successful delivery of the assigned package.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant field;
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or similar business in a technical and/or commercial position;
  • A self- starter who possesses good interpersonal and organizational skills;
  • Great Time Management skills;
  • Fluent in English (both written and verbally).
