Day Shift Team Lead

For one of our clients in the oil&gas industry we are looking for a Day Shift Team Lead

Our client is established in 11 countries worldwide and is active in the energy and water sectors. In the Netherlands, they operate as a producer of natural gas and are co-owner and operator of two gas storage facilities.

What will you do
The dayshift Team Leader (DTL) leads the Onshore Operations dayshift operators, provides input in campaign preparation & ensures effective handover between shift and dayshift. This role is positioned in the O&M organization at the same level as the STL’s in the operations organization. The DTL reports to the Production Team Lead (PTL). The DTL coordinates input to campaign preparation, ensures the day to day planning and operator allocation during the frozen 28 day plan. Furthermore, together with PTL he actively allocates time to strengthen & demonstrates competence for critical roles is assured. This to ensure that always a safe place to work can and will be offered to work executing parties (vendors and maintenance base crew). The DTL will take part in ERT as site rep or incident on scene commander when on duty or when assigned in a specific Campaign HSE execution plan. The DTL will also act as stand-in for PTL when needed or being able to lead small-scale operational projects.

Responsibilities
Health, Safety, Security and Environment & control of work

• Promoting a high level of awareness on HSSE and being recognized as Safety Leader
• Verification and the approval of the safe release of installations for maintenance
• Act as ‘Verstrekker’ within the Work Permit system, ensuring all required safety precautions are stated in the Work Permit and TRA
• Act as Isolating authority and assess IA capability of subordinates together with PTL / OIM 
• Performing workplace inspections on site
• Contribute with assessing the risks associated with setting overrides and approving overrides in his shift 
• Ensuring that Safe systems of work (MOC, LOTO, PTW etc.) are adhered to
• Acting as ERT Site rep during emergency response situations

Day to day

• Raise awareness and ensures compliance with the company their campaign execution standard 
• Coordinate ops input to campaign preparation 
• Daily coordination of work assignment dayshift operators
• Critical Competence development and demonstration of dayshift operators
• Adequate and effective handover from dayshift to shift 
• Standin PTL together with STL on dayshift 
• Raising and following up on improvement options through the MOC system
• Acting on symptoms of problems or potential problems
• Participate, where necessary in Root Cause Analysis and identification of solution
• Reviewing procedures and after consultation with the PTL updating these

Leadership

• Performance evaluations with his team members
• Coaching and developing his team members
• Advising the PTL and STL’s on team performance and shift coordination

What we search for in you
We’re happy to hear from professionals with an MBO4 education in electronics, awareness automation or process technology. In this role you'll require both Dutch and English language skills.

• 10 years' experience in hazardous process industries
