For one of our clients in the Offshore Oil and Gas Industry we are looking for a Contracts Advisor.

As a Supply Chain Contracts Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our supply chain processes. You will be responsible for sourcing and ensuring the timely delivery of goods, services, and logistics essential for our upstream operations. Your primary focus will be on commercial negotiation and defining contractual terms to secure favorable agreements with vendors and suppliers.

Key job responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand supply chain requirements and develop sourcing strategies.
  • Utilize SAP and other relevant tools to manage procurement activities, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential vendors, evaluate their capabilities, and negotiate contracts to achieve cost savings and operational efficiencies.
  • Define contractual terms and conditions, ensuring alignment with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies to ensure contractual obligations are met.
  • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks associated with contracts and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on supply chain matters, including contract interpretation, dispute resolution, and vendor management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize supply chain processes, enhance supplier relationships, and achieve cost reductions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. 


  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CIPS) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement, and/or contract management within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on upstream operations.
  • Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successfully securing favorable contracts and cost savings.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards (Logic contracts) governing supply chain and contract management practices.
