Welding Engineer

The Pipeline Production Department is responsible for the preparation of all offshore welding, non-destructive testing and field joint coating. The Welding Engineer ensures that all welding activities are prepared and completed in a timely and cost-effective manner in accordance with the project requirements. The Welding Engineer reports directly to the Unit Head Welding.

Identify, develop and qualify the welding methods necessary to produce the pipelines and their appurtenances, including testing, documentation, client approval and third party verification, as required for the project;
Review all welding related project requirements and provide input for contract tenders;
Provide technical input and cost estimates for the welding methods, equipment and consumables required for project preparations and production;
Monitor the daily progress of ongoing production on vessels and/or work sites and, if necessary, assist on site;
Maintain and expand technical and practical knowledge of (offshore) pipeline welding and construction work, including non-destructive testing techniques.

BSc degree in Engineering and/or International Welding Technology (Las Praktijk Ingenieur), according to experience;
Minimum of 3 years experience in the welding or pipeline industry;
Good command of the English language, both written and spoken;
Willingness to work offshore and abroad occasionally.
