The Structural Engineer designs and calculates steel structures as well as verifying the strength of complete transport arrangements to ensure safe execution of the project. He, or she, provides “up-to-date” engineering advice and support to the projects and assists in the development and improvement of structural engineering methods, tools and equipment.
Werkzaamheden
-Answer enquiries needed for a successful acquisitions process or project;
-Responsible for strength check of vessel and cargo and additional structural items;
-Prepare transports/installations and have documents checked and approved;
-Assist in the development and improvement of structural engineering tools and methods;
-Provide engineering advice and support to other disciplines as well as external parties.

Profiel
-Completed Bachelor or higher in the field of naval architecture/aerospace engineering;
-3 to 5 years of relevant experience, with a focus on structural engineering;
-Experience with FEA methods and understanding of structural design principles;
-Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing.
