Ship motion analyst

Werkzaamheden
• determine expected ship motions during voyages;
• perform dynamic analysis for offshore installation activities;
• make assessments on workability;
• manage hydrostatic and hydrodynamic ship data and weather data;
• keep contact with weather business for purchase of weather data, weather forecasts and hind casts;
• support operational personnel in usage of motion measurement equipment;
• prepare design calculations and analysis reports;
• give input on installation (work) procedures based on performed analysis above;
• contact point with Clients and subcontractors on hydrodynamic issues;
• on-board project support during offshore execution;
• Reports and highlights critical activities to Project Manager and Offshore Engineering Manager.

Profiel
• education HBO/TU Naval Architecture or equivalent;
• several years experience in a similar function;
• extensive knowledge of vessel stability and vessel motions;
• experience in marine engineering (lifting, transportation and installation);
• knowledge of engineering aspects of the (subsea) offshore industry;
• fully conversant in English (verbally and in writing);
• ability to put lifting, transportation and installation engineering in company perspective;
• ability to use Microsoft Office and have basic AutoCAD skills;
• willing to travel.
