The Piping Design & Engineering Department is responsible for the piping specifications, analyzing and advising on the philosophy of design, layouts, stress, corrosion, flow and liaises with the relevant authorities and third parties when required.

You should be able to write specifications and datasheets for piping material, generate BTO/MTO, line lists, valve lists, tie-in list and special item lists from P&ID. You should be able to perform code calculations such as wall thickness, branch connections, etc. Pipe stress will not be part of the work.

A Masters or Bachelor degree (TU/HTS) with at least 10 years experience, as a Piping Engineer, in the on- or offshore oil and gas production industry is required. An excellent knowledge of piping components, materials, standards and code calculations used in the offshore industry and a good understanding of related disciplines is a must. You combine a solid theoretical know-how with a pragmatic approach and you are familiar with the construction techniques for modular systems. Previous experience with floating production installations is an advantage.
Experience with marine codes and standards and certifying body rules and regulations is an advantage.
