The Engineering department is part of the Technology department, which is responsible for all technical preparations of the transport, installation and removal of offshore structures. The Engineering department consists of Structural Engineering, Marine Engineering, Foundation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and the Drawing Office. These groups provide support to all transport, installation and removal projects.

- Increase our knowledge base trough expertise gained from both within as well as outside;
- Review and approve functional specifications;
- Advise during the conceptual design phase;
- Review and approve mechanical design from subcontractors;
- Manage the availability and development of engineering tools, efficient working methods and standards related to mechanical engineering;
- Advise to all levels of the organization regarding mechanical engineering related issues;
- Train and coach engineers on mechanical engineering subjects;
- Perform as an involved and appreciated member of the international mechanical engineering community;
- Stay well-informed on innovations on mechanical engineering.

- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with heavy lifting equipment or heavy machinery;
- Worked as a technical project leader and managed subcontractors;
- Comprehensive understanding of certifying authorities;
- Well rooted knowledge of hydraulics as well as controls;
- A BSc degree or a MSc degree;
- Great networking skills, an analytical mind-set, well developed communication and presentation skills and organizational awareness.
