The Quality Assurance & Health Safety Environmental Department (QA&HSE) is responsible for the quality management, HSSE and business continuity of SBM Schiedam and GustoMSC. One key activity of the department is the safety of our staff and sub-contractor during the engineering, procurement and construction phase of a project. In order achieve a high level of HSSE we have a team of HSSE experts working in our Schiedam office and on yards worldwide.
Werkzaamheden
- You will act as Project HSSE manager on large EPC projects (over USD 1 billion);
- Capable to demonstrate HSSE by participation in HSE site walkabouts/reporting;
- Assist management to implement and update the project HSSE Plan;
- Assist with the assessment of Suppliers’ and Sub-contractors’ HSE Management Systems and HSSE performance;
- Implement the HSSE Plan through project phases and monitor the performance of sub-Contractors in meeting the contractual requirements;
- Communicate with parties on HSSE matters/manage HSSE interfaces;
- Oversee the Job Safety Analysis activities managed by the sub-contractor to ensure timely delivery to suit the project schedule.
- Maintain with PMT a schedule of significant HSSE events to ensure timely JSA is conducted;
- Plan and monitor the implementation of a program of internal and external project HSSE audits and follow up and close out corrective actions;
- Report accidents, incidents and near misses, assist in investigation/analysis and prepare statistics in accordance with project requirements; assist in management of HSSE documents;
- Report HSE performance to the Project Manager and company HSSE manager.
Frequent travel can be required to our other locations or suppliers and yards worldwide for short visits (1-2 weeks).

Profiel
- MSC or BSC (TU/HTS) degree or equivalent level of education (HVK) obtained through relevant experience or courses with at least 5 years experience in the field of HSSE;
- Experience in a comparable function in the Oil & Gas industry is required.
