Regional commercial Manager

Rotterdam

- Handle day to day freight inquiries coming from the regions assigned to them and liaise with operations department for operational/technical input as the need arises;
- Manage the client relationships in a geographical area in close coordination with an existing and expanding international agency network;
- Negotiate freight and contract details and present firm offers to clients;
- Stay in regular phone contact with commercial agents of his region and in consultation with general commercial manager pays them and clients visits as the need arises;
- Liaise with operation, engineering, QHSE and communications/marketing departments to safeguard smooth execution of the contracted works;
- Is responsible for smooth working relationship between the commercial agents of the assigned region;
- Stay up to date with and interpret the latest trends and developments.

- HBO thinking and working level;
- at least 5 years experience in a similar job;
- general knowledge of the project shipping industry;
- good knowledge about charter parties/booking notes;
- sound knowledge of generally accepted BIMCO shipping contracts;
- pleasure in traveling;
- a strong personality but flexible enough to be a team player;
- great listening and communication skills in Dutch/English;
- initiative;
- a creative mind and negotiation skills.
