For one of our clients in the Oil, Gas and Offshore Industry we are looking for a Project Controller. The goal of the Finance Department is to support the organization obtain its strategic goals. Report, analyze, plan, forecast and identify opportunities and ensure that sufficient funds are available. Compliance with rules, regulations and risk management are key drivers for our department.
Werkzaamheden
•Co-ordinate preparation of periodic project reports for management review and submission to the Project Board;
•Participate in corporate monthly report cycle, concerning consolidated project results;
•Participate in bi-weekly forecasting process;
•Translate client and company requirements and estimates, into detailed project budgets in accordance with the defined scope of work;
•Ensure that project costs are controlled, analyzed, forecasted and reported against approved budgets;
•Review, monitor and report on internal queries regarding the (financial) status of projects;
•Check that revenues/costs are correctly recognized and allocated to projects;
•Support pro-actively the project manager and the project team and act as financial ‘conscience’ of the project manager;
•Provide forecast information for project risk register updates;
•Promote risk and opportunity awareness in the project team;
•Co-ordinate procurement and scheduling for various projects in respect to costs;
•Provide early warning of potential variances and propose remedial actions;
•Perform post calculation on projects and evaluate outcome there of, in order to improve cost estimation, planning and project control procedures;
•Has good knowledge of contract, company and project procedures;
•Liaises externally with the client and auditors, internally with cost estimation, project planning, project management, procurement and project accountants.

Profiel
•Completed Bachelor degree and/or equivalent experience;
•5-10 years experience in project control, preferably in offshore/maritime business;
•Affinity with automated processes, excellent IT skills (MS-Office (Excel), SAP (FI/CO PS);
•Fluent in Dutch and English, verbally and written;
•Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills;
•Analytical and conceptual.
