Process Engineer

The Process Engineer is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve the production and technical performance of the operated plants and facilities offshore as well as onshore. He/she troubleshoots on operational problems, designs plant modifications and upgrades and participates in HAZOP reviews. He/she reports to the Engineering Manager.

- Give active guidance and support to the field operating personnel and responsible for day-to-day facility problems in areas as; production capacity, process treatment, equipment & unit performance
- Develop tools for process performance monitoring check / improvement;
- Initiate and lead improvement studies and follow-up modifications projects
through the Capital Value Process and Management Of Change processes
- Assists project management /commercial during the appraise and select stage of larger optimization projects;
- Process/chemical engineering input during design of projects;
- Participate and/or organize HAZOP, SIL, RBI and HSE reviews;
- To perform these tasks, the process engineer makes use of engineering contractors, interfaces with manufacturers, and has close contact with operations and process and other networks within the organization and works within the HSE policy

- Process or Chemical Engineering degree at BSc/MSc level;
- Minimum of 5 years experience in oil & gas or petrochemical industry;
- Leadership in HSE and process safety in particular;
- Operational knowledge;
- Experience with gas treating facilities;
- Experience in Oil production and produced water injection;
- Experience with Condensate/Oil production and processing;
- Use of process simulation tools (e.g. HYSYS);
- Start-up and commissioning of Production systems;
- The ability to work as a part of a multi-discipline project team;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Required skills to prioritize HSE, Operational and Project related work;
- Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
