The Mechanical and Structural Design Department (SED) is responsible for the (overall) design and engineering of heavy mechanical and mooring related systems and equipment for floating and fixed offshore structures such as FPSO and FLNG units.
Werkzaamheden
- Responsible for making mechanical design calculations of mooring systems and components, such as turret bearings, chain stoppers, swivels and structural integrations;
- The design calculations will be made using 3D design and associated Finite Element software, in-house written software or hand calculations and will be based on internal and international design codes;
- Your responsibilities include reporting the results in calculation reports and interfacing with designers, other disciplines, procurement and construction;
- There are opportunities for international assignments for shoter or longer periods.

Profiel
- MSc or BSc degree (TU/HTS) in Mechanical or Civil engineering is required;
- A number of years experience in mechanical offshore engineering is preferred;
- professional communication in English (verbal and written);
- Conversant with MS Office applications; willingness to travel.
