Material Controller

For our Materials Management Department we are looking for a Material Controller. The Materials Management Department is part of the Logistics Department and is responsible for the efficient and effective execution of the inventory control and material storage/distribution process, for both equipment and project-related materials. The Material Controller reports directly to the Unit Head Materials Management.

- Process material orders and prepare shipments for delivery to vessels and/or project locations as required;
- Provide project specific material control procedures and documents;
- Monitor, inspect and register all inbound/outbound stocks;
- Provide regular updates to project teams and/or internal disciplines about tracking and tracing of materials;
- Oversee the storage of required project materials, under required conditions;
- Initiate, develop and execute plans and procedures to improve existing material, equipment and inventory control processes, both on-shore and off-shore;
- Attend vessel mobilisation for verification and inspection of project materials received at the site;
- Attend vessel demobilisation and complete a material reconciliation of all materials upon the completion of a project, and oversee the storage, disposal and/or return of surplus materials.

- BSc degree with a logistical or technical background;
- Minimum of 2 years experience with material control and inventory handling processes;
- Knowledge of inventory control and inventory management systems;
- Good knowledge of the English language, both written and spoken;
Willingness to travel.
